PROJECT WORK A machine that prints output from a computer is known as line printer. It is also known as a printer which prints the one entire line of text before converting to another line. There are many types of line printers they are: Chain printers : An early line printer that used type slugs linked together in a chain as its printing mechanism. Band printers : A type of impact printer which contains a metal band with character shapes imprinted on it. Drum printers : the term drum printer refers to different tupes of printet designs through out the modern digital age that have featured drum installations or setups. Its uses are: It is widely used in offices and data centers It can print multipart forms at a very high speed. Interesting facts: Line printer was invented by Dr Andrew Gabor. If line printer was not made we would not have books, magazines or newspapers, etc. It allows us to share large amounts of information quickly and in huge numbers. gi
